Dear Colleagues,
IRPA13, ‘Living with Radiation – Engaging with Society’
We are delighted to invite you to participate in the 13th Congress of the International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA) in Glasgow in 2012, which will be held at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre on 13 – 18 May 2012. The Congress is being hosted by the Society for Radiological Protection (SRP) in association with its partner societies (IPEM, RCR, SCoR, BIR, BNMS and AURPO).
IRPA is the international voice of the radiation protection profession. It promotes excellence in national and regional associate societies, and radiation protection professionals, by providing benchmarks of good practice and enhancing professional competence and networking.
It is anticipated that the 2012 13th IRPA International Congress in Glasgow will be the largest ever gathering of radiation protection professionals from around the world. It will share good practice and identify the key issues for our profession.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to Glasgow for an excellent Congress in 2012 and, in particular, to delivering on our Congress theme ‘Living with Radiation – Engaging with Society’. The value of fully engaging with society and its representatives, and encouraging involvement in decision making processes is increasingly recognised. Indeed, many experiences have shown that it can be impossible to move forward successfully without a structured and meaningful engagement with stakeholders.
We hope that you will consider supporting this prestigious and enjoyable Congress and we look forward to seeing you in Glasgow in 2012!
Yours sincerely
Roger Coates,
Congress President

Exhibition & Sponsorship Coordinator, IRPA13
